Edo Crush: The Love For 'Okuku'

Share
The Edo traditional bridal attire is full of an alluring native richness and it's very cultural too. Brides from this part of Nigeria, adorn the Okuku "crown" as their headgear with a beaded cape blouse made from coral beads during their traditional weddings.
These items are worn on a nice fabric (or a gorge as it is popularly called) to give a regal look. Then they beautify their necks with the "Ivie-uru", and wear "Ivie-obo" as bracelets on their hands.
Typically this look isn't complete without a set of beaded earrings and hand clutches made from coral beads as well.
See below these photos of this beautiful edo bride - Linda, sent to Sugar Weddings & Parties by Kristabel Makeovers.
Enjoy!
