Emma and Jon met while working as accountants in 2009 and after a long friendship, started dating two years later. Jon proposed on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon in April 2014 during a walk around Emma’s favourite spot in London – Parliament Hill on Hampstead Heath.

The couple celebrated their engagement with dinner at The Ivy and champagne at Le Caprice that evening. “I had absolutely no idea what type of dress I wanted,” says Emma. “I finally found my Kenneth Winston gown after trying on about 20 others that same day!” Emma added a two-tier mid-length Italian tulle veil to complete her stunning look. She wore vintage Jimmy Choos and her mother’s diamond tennis bracelet was her ‘something borrowed’ along with her grandmother’s ring, attached to the inside of her dress. Jon wore a suit and shirt from Hong Kong with a tie by Kenneth Cole and cuff links from Aquascutum.

Kew Gardens in Richmond, London was the perfect location for the couple’s English country garden theme. The couple were blessed with sunshine and guests had a sunset tour atop a land-train once the venue closed to the public. The wedding stationery was custom made by The Card Gallery and Emma made the table plan. DJ James of Prelude Entertainment, diligently played Jon’s request of UK Garage songs from the 90s to keep the party going late into the night!
